These are the wallabies that come to my house all the time. They are:
Wilda with her joeys, Angel and Castiel.
Riptor with her joeys, Lenny and Wesley.
I may also post pictures of other animals that come to my house.
None of my photos have been edited in any way. I am too technologically impaired to do that.
----------------------------------------------------------
I live in south-east Queensland, Australia. We always knew we got wallabies around our area. In September 2010, we decided we would put some food on the edge of the patio and see if anything ate it. Sure enough a wallaby came - Riptor. Over the course of about a month I slowly moved the food bowl back closer towards the house until it was right next to the door.
Then in November, Wilda starting showing up. Both of these wallabies are females and they each had a pouch just starting to bulge. In December we saw the little confused pink face of Lenny.
Wilda’s joey, Angel, starting poking her head out of the pouch a few weeks later. However, about two months later the joeys suddenly disappeared (we presume it was foxes). It was very sad.
In July 2011, Riptor and Wilda’s new joeys starting showing themselves. Wilda’s joey, Castiel, got out of the pouch in September 2011 and starting hopping around the garden. He is really cute.
Riptor doesn’t show up too often anymore but she has her joey, Wesley, and I assume he is well.
Most people (especially from overseas) see wallabies as similar to kangaroos. In some ways they are, but in others they are completely different. My wallabies are swamp wallabies. The adult females are only about knee height on the average person, so you can just imagine how tiny the joeys are.
